I am always looking for a great diner for a fresh, delicious breakfast. I found Johnny's Chalet near the airport and it did not disappoint! It's got a great vibe with tables and a counter. It was clean, classic, local diner decor and some good tunes. The counter service was attentive. Coffee (decaf) was above average. I made my own version of a Greek Omelette, a side of think bacon and a single pancake. Everything was great and the price was right. If I'm ever in the hood, I will be back and already recommending to family down there.

In the Warwick area, this place easily earns a 10 for breakfast menu variation and taste. I had the most amazing breakfast meat empanada with a side of spicy chili oil sauce that added an Asian-inspired kick. It was a unique and incredibly tasty breakfast item, deserving of a solid 10/10. While I typically shy away from very spicy food, the dip was so good that I enjoyed every morsel with dipping. Even without the dip, it was still outstanding. Another item we ordered was the Braised Short Rib Benny, and just as I suspected, it was delicious. Being a fan of short ribs, I was not disappointed. The home fries were perfectly crisp and not dry, just to my liking. I tried some from my husband's plate, and he had to stop me from eating the whole serving (lol). As a bonus, the place also showcases delectable cakes made from scratch by Johnny himself, the owner/chef. His mother, who occasionally helps with service, proudly shares this fact. However, the service can be quite slow, and there is a surcharge for credit card payments. If you don't mind the wait for a server, refills, or the check, and are willing to pay with cash to avoid the 20+% credit card fee (although this information could be communicated more clearly), then you can fully enjoy the amazing breakfast offerings at Johnny's Chalet. One thing to note is that there is no notice or sign about the credit card surcharge anywhere--neither on the menu, walls, nor as a table card. This lack of transparency can be a downside for those who value an overall good dining experience, where food is complemented by efficient service. I recommend this place for breakfast and brunch enthusiasts looking to break away from the usual options. I'm yet to try their lunch menu, but it's on my list. Hopefully, by the time I return, they have addressed the visibility of their surcharge policy on the premises and the service staff shortage.

Outstanding! Always neat and clean staffed with nice folks. I was amazed by my recent experience with their "fish and chip" offering. HUGE! Two huge filets, a pile of crispy fries and coleslaw. I took half the meal home for the next day. The Chalet is always recommendable!

Friendly. Fast. Delicious. Came here after seeing the round the building lines at Cozy Grill. Let's be clear here: there's nothing cozy about waiting an hour for scrambled eggs. Johnny's modest outside belies a large interior; half traditional diner bar, half country-style sit down restaurant. Walked in and immediately greeted and order taken. Service was super friendly and the BBQ Bennie on cornbread special was a hearty and welcome twist in this classic breakfast fave. Note: portions a *generous* and prices modest (starting at $10.99 for your traditional eggs, browns, pancakes, and coffee special. Beware the glass pastry showcase you'll encounter on entrance: cinnamon buns are the diabetic equivalent of king crabs: enough to feed a family of 6 for a month of cinnamon glazed desserts. Overall: five Starr service + huge portions at reasonable prices. Don't let the modest strip mall exterior fool you: Johnny's may not be a chalet in the alpine sense, but a great breakfast XP with staff that's warm + welcoming.

Found the Chalet on Yelp when looking for a good breakfast sandwich. Called in our order for two bacon, egg and cheese on rye. Said they'd be ready in 15 minutes but we got there in about 5 and they were just about ready. Generously sized and very tasty - especially the bacon which was better than average. So we decided to go back for a sit down breakfast the following week. My (home made) corned beef hash and Swiss omelet was wonderful and my wife's Athenian Benny was also very good. The hash browns had an unusual taste... I thought maybe a little chourico. Not my favorite but I'm sure they are popular. Overall, generous portions of quality food. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Next time, maybe we'll try lunch!
